Pierpaolo Milandri studied mechanical engineering at University of Bologna. University of Bologna Bologna, Italy founded in 1088. Pierpalolo started his motorsport journey with Formula 4 championship. "It happened unexpectedly, during a basketball game I met Giovanni Minardi who at the time was managing a Formula Renault 3.5 team," Pieraolo says. When Pieraolo meet with Giovanni he became a tire guy.

With Pierpaolo landed a job in Formula 4 with Antonelli Motorsport as a data engineer and has since worked as a race engineer for a variety of teams including Target Racing, BMW Racing, Perma, and currently with Iron Lynx Motorsport Lab. "I have always done racing, I started from the Formula 4 championship in Antonelli Motorsport and Step by Step I grew in my career," Pierpaolo says.

There will inevitably be challenges in Pierpaolo's career and in any career. "It's very obvious, but it's being able to group and optimize everything you have available to WIN," Pierpaolo said. Winning is something that Pierpaolo's does through out his career.
One of the most important positions in motorsports is race engineer, where a person must oversee and work with every member of the team. They have to take care of car setup, tire pressure and race strategy (during Endurace races). The race engineer plays a crucial role not just on the track but also in the lead-up to the race weekend at home. "I have always done racing, I started from the Formula 4 championship in Antonelli Motorsport and Step by Step I grew in my career," Pierpaolo's said.

As a race engineer theres a lot of things that people don't know about the job. One of the things that Pieraolo says about beings a race engineer is that "Is a very nice job, but like all jobs it's not just travel and racing cars, it's made up of many sacrifices." Despite his sacrifices, he is thankful for the lessons he has learnt from different teams and, one thing he wants the younger audiences to know that wants to get into motorsport is "study a lot and never give up, especially at the first no from the bigger teams."
This season marks his fourth year with Iron Lynx Motorsport Lab, and he has made the decision to move forward in his career. The team has been a fundamental to his professional growth.
